25,000 liters of wine were seized in Taurasi, the homeland of the namesake DOCG. The Carabinieri of the Volturara Irpina Forestry Unit and Mirabella Eclano, in synergy with the local station's military personnel, assisted by staff from the Avellino ASL, seized approximately 25,000 liters of bulk and bottled wine due to lack of traceability during the 'Agroalimentare' inspection campaign. The owner of the wine production and transformation company was fined 3,000 euros for the incorrect application of procedures outlined in the HACCP manual. The inspections by the Carabinieri of the Avellino Forestry Group will continue in the coming days throughout the Irpinia province to ensure the safety of wine products to protect consumer health.
